Taliya Minullina sets trends

On October 14, 2018, G20-Y Summit finished in Evian, France. Traditionally, heads of the largest economies all over the world take part in the summit. Russia was represented by the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina.

This year the summit was dedicated to new technologies and digital transformation.

During the summit, leaders participated in discussions and shared best practices in various committees.

So, Taliya Minullina has been working on the creation of trends for better future within the framework of the Banking Committee of the Summit.

"Today, around the world the financial services sector is experiencing an unprecedented structural shift, while at least part of the system is still suffering from the effects of the the global financial crisis that started 10 years ago.

The Banking Committee of the Summit reviewed and discussed current events in the banking industry, strategic implications for traditional banks, and how banking business models should be modified over the next years to ensure the banking sector continues to fulfil its macroeconomic mandate. Thus, we have identified the key areas that we need to focus on to ensure a smooth transition to more efficient and flexible financial system in the future, meeting the emerging needs for our customers", – Taliya Minullina shared.

G-20Y Summit is the youth wing of G-20, which includes 20 major national economies: Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Canada, China, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Turkey, France, South Korea, South Africa, Japan and the European Union.

In addition, the G20 meetings are attended by representatives of various international organizations, including the Financial Stability Board, the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization, the United Nations and the World Bank.

Together, the G20 represents 85% of the world's gross national product, 75% of world trade (including intra-EU trade) and two-thirds of the world's population.

In the frames of the "twenty", the meetings of the representatives of civil society (Civil Society-20), meetings of business circles (Business-20), "Youth-20", chairmen of parliaments (Labour-20), "Women-20", as well as the annual conference of research centers (Think-20) also take place.

As a result of the work of the Youth G20 committees, the experts with the leading experience have formed a document containing recommendations to the leaders of the G20 countries, and it will be sent to the presidents of these countries.
