Haier Electrical Appliances Rus LLC plans to produce 15 models developed with Russian consumers and the Russian market in mind.
Haier was founded in 1984 in China and currently has 24 production facilities, five R&D centers, and subsidiaries in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
The company has over 70,000 employees and annual sales exceeding USD 29.5 billion.
According to Euromonitor International, in December 2014 for the sixth time in a row Haier ranked first among large household appliance manufacturers, holding a share of 10.2% of the retail market.
